Rehearsals
Getting started
Starting August 30th, we rehearse every Tuesday evening, 7:30 – 10:00 pm, right through ’til May, with holiday breaks.
Go to the church hall at Anaheim United Methodist Church, 1000 S. State College Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92806
New singers are welcome to come, with no obligation, while we get to know each other.
Check in at the door, tell us your name and vocal range, and pick up the music.
Access the parking lot from E. Wagner, just off State College Blvd.
Auditions
These are very easy going
After your first rehearsal, our Music Director, Brian Dehn, will take a moment to listen to your voice and make sure you are in the proper section to help with balance and blend. Be prepared to brag about all your singing experience! But, not to worry if you do not have any – as long as you are willing to learn, Meritáge is the place for you!
We all go through this process and it’s not as painful as it sounds. We are a wonderful singing family and will be excited to welcome you!
Expectations
We take our membership seriously!
We are expected to attend all rehearsals unless we
really have a serious conflict.
We prefer choir members to sing with us for the whole season, but we understand that sometimes a singer may have to miss a particular concert.
We have a dress code for performances – which we can help with.
We provide all the scores you will need.
And we love to party. Seriously!
