Subject: Busses

Dear Michael

We are related. My grandfather  Kenneth Caron Buss  had three daughters now all dead - Pam Rice, Leonie, my mother and Jean,  and by a much later marriage  a son Robin .

Not sure where we fit into to RW's lineage but we are certainly there and I believe Robin may have some of RW's work. He also has interesting mementos, once the property of Colonel Caron ADC to Marshall Ney who fled to England and must have married a Buss some time in the early 19thC.

I attended an anniversary 100th ?  of North London Collegiate at Westminster Abbey together with other members of the family. You are sure to know the Collegiate  girls ditty concerning those two proto - feminists

Miss Buss & Miss Beale
cupids darts do not feel
Miss Beale & Miss Buss
they are not like us

I was delighted to find Busses here in this remote corner of the world One of them Fanny Buss, now dead, was needless to say a well known local artist . I hope to be meeting her sister next week

Sincere regards and Happy Christmas

Nick
